Year 5 - Panther
Welcome to Panther Class, our teacher is Mr Hawthorne-Nelson.
Year 5 have PE on Monday & Friday afternoons this term
Our topic this term is Volcanoes. We will be learning about Iceland and the history of volcanoes there both past and present. We will also be learning about Mount Vesuvius in Italy and how, when it erupted in Roman times, it devastated the city of Pompeii. Children will be using this historical event to write first-hand accounts of what it might have been like for people to live through a volcanic eruption.
Year 5 are swimming on Tuesday afternoons
P.E Is on Thursday afternoon.
This term our topic is Climate Change. There is a lot of current information about this issue. Children are welcome to bring in news reports to discuss in class. Watch this space to see some amazing work. A sample from children's Powerpoint presentations on Climate Change:
