Year 3 - Toucan Class

Toucan | San Diego Zoo Animals & Plants

Welcome to Toucan Class. Our class teacher is Mrs Pursey.

Welcome to Term 5

This term we have a Geography focus, where we are learning about earthquakes, why and where they occur and why some are more destructive than others. In addition to this, for Science we are learning about plants - we planted potatoes last term, so hopefully we will see them grow.

We have started the term looking at non-fiction texts in English and later in the term we will be looking at traditional and cultural tales.

Our P.E day has changed. We now have cricket on a Monday afternoon and Outdoor Adventure activities on a Friday afternoon. It is essential we have P.E kit in school for these lessons: t-shirt, shorts and trainers. I would recommend they bring them into school on Monday for the week.

We have also made changes to our Forest School session: this term the class have been split into two groups and will go alternate afternoons on a Tuesday.

Toucan Class continue to impress me with their developing resilience and confidence over the course of this year, remaining positive and working collaboratively.

Let's keep up the good work this term.

Forest School kit: long sleeved top, comfortable trousers, boots/old trainers and a coat for wet or cold weather.
