Year 3 - Jellyfish Class

Welcome to Jellyfish Class!

Your class teacher is Mrs Newman and your teaching assistants are Mrs Ali and Miss Thornton.

I hope you all had a lovely break! I cannot wait for all the new learning we will be doing this term!

This term we will be doing a geography enquiry,  our big question will be 'Why do some earthquakes cause more damage than others?'. We will be answering this question throughout the term and learning about where earthquakes happen most frequently and why. We willl be focussing on New Zealand and the damage caused by earthquakes there.

In our Reading lessons we are reading 'You're a bad man, Mr Gum' by Andy Stanton.

In Science, our topic for the term is 'Forces and Magnets'. We will be completing different investigations to find out about different magnetic materials.

P.E. this term will be Tennis and Badminton. Tennis is outdoors on a Monday. Badminton will be indoors on a Thursday. Please ensure you bring the appropriate kit.

Forest school this term will be on Friday afternoons. I will post dojo reminders for when it is our week to go.

Forest School kit: named carrier bag for muddy clothes and shoes, long sleeved top, comfortable trousers, boots/old trainers and a coat for wet or cold weather.
