This section of the school website contains a wide range of information and guidance regarding the ongoing COVID pandemic.
COVID 19 Risk Assessments
Please click below to access both our Trust and school risk assessments that have been approved by our Board of Trustees. Please note that these are "live" documents that will be reviewed continuously in light of government guidance and our ongoing review of safety across the school.
Thank you to all parents who are working with us to keep us all safe during this Covid Pandemic. Please remember that only ONE adult per family should come on to school grounds to drop off and pick up children. Older, secondary aged school children need to wait outside the school gates.
Due to the rise in Covid19 cases and listening to our parent voice, as from Monday 12 October all adults coming onto the school site will be required to wear a mask.
As we return to a ‘new normal’ we would like to help you understand school attendance in light of Covid-19. There is an expectation that all children are in school every day. Pupils need to attend school regularly to benefit from their education. Missing out on lessons leaves children vulnerable to falling behind. Children with poor attendance tend to achieve less in both primary and secondary school.
The government expects schools and local authorities to:
Promote good attendance and reduce absence, including persistent absence;
Ensure every pupil has access to full-time education to which they are entitled and act early to address patterns of absence.
Parents to perform their legal duty by ensuring their children of compulsory school age who are registered at school attend regularly.
All pupils to be punctual to their lessons.
Schools now have government guidance to follow when dealing with non-attendance relating to Coronavirus. Please see below for a quick guide to Coronavirus related absences procedures. We need parent/carers to follow this guidance and communicate well with school to ensure we remain Covid safe.
During full school closure we produced guidance on what could be completed at home. This was updated every Monday morning for the week ahead. From September 1st schools have reopened for all. Due to self-isolation guidance, Pilgrims' Way still want to provide learning activities for the children if they need to self-isolate.
These activities will now be found on your child's class page.
You can still find links here to some of the resources we provided during the full school closure period.
