English Resources - Phonics, Reading and Spelling
Whilst at home, some work on Phonics and Reading will really help the children retain what has been taught in school. Below are some projects and ideas that will help to do this.
Open Reading Project
This project is aimed at Year 5 and 6 children but is open to anyone, it is closed to communication and the children will not have their work marked, however, it will enable anyone to have access to a good story and an audiobook to support it. Just click on the links below to access the resources.

Children can continue reading books and taking quizzes by following the link below, this link must be followed as it is specific to our school.
The link below will take you to a website that has 100's of free ebooks which all have a quiz number (find this in the information [details] section on each book).
We are aware that many children will have finished the books sent home with them. The link below gives access to 100's of free ebooks. You can select the correct age range for your child and access them to keep the daily reading going.

As a school we are now signed up to Spelling Shed. This aims to make spelling fun for children. Simply log in and the spellings will be set for the children.
