Term 1

Welcome to Pine Marten class and an exciting year of learning!

Our first class book this year will be Philip Pullman's classic Fireworkmaker's Daughter. It is the story of a very brave girl and her epic adventure on the path to becoming a firework maker. In English we will be writing about inspirational people and why they inspire us.

This term our geography enquiry will be answering the question: Why do oceans matter? We will be finding out what is special about our oceans and why they are so important.

P.E. is on Wednesdays. Please ensure your child comes to school wearing their PE kit. Forest school will be in Term 2 but weekly.
