Year 5 - Pine Marten Class

Welcome to Pine Marten class. Our class teacher is Mr Hawthorne-Nelson.

Welcome to Pine Marten class. I am very excited to be teaching Year 5 and sharing this learning journey with amazing children. This term we will be learning about the Ancient Greeks and answering the enquiry question: What have the Greeks ever done for us? To support this topic we have chosen the class text, Mark of the Cyclops which is set in Ancient Greece.

P.E. will be on a Wednesday this term. Please ensure your child comes to school wearing the correct PE kit and that they have their school uniform to change into afterwards.

We will be having Forest School for the next three weeks, starting this Friday, 13th September. Children need to come to school in their school uniform and bring their Forest School clothes to change into.

There will be NO weekly homework set this year in Year 5, though optional project-based home tasks may be provided from time to time.
