Spiritus Ad Surgere - Let Our Spirits Soar High

Year 3 - Zebra Class

Welcome to Zebra Class!

Your class teacher is Mrs Newman and teaching assistants are Mrs Chongbang and Mr Griffiths.

We cannot wait to welcome you back after summer and have lots of exciting learning planned! Our first term topic is 'How did the lives of ancient Britons change during the Stone Age?' In this topic we will have the opportunity to explore and examine history from prehistoric Britain. We will carry this topic over into art, reading and English - recreating Stone Age jewellery, learning how to do cave drawings and even writing instructions on how to wash a woolly mammoth!

The books we will focus our reading lessons on are 'How to wash a woolly mammoth' by Michelle Robinson and 'Stone Age Boy' by Satoshi Kitamura.

Our P.E. days are Tuesday and Thursday. This terms PE will be football and multi-skills. These will both be outside, so if the hot weather carries on into September please send sun cream and appropriate PE clothing (shorts and house T-shirt).

Our Forest school session will be every other Friday. Reminders will be put on class dojo of which week this will be.

Forest School kit: named carrier bag for muddy clothes and shoes, long sleeved top, comfortable trousers, boots/old trainers and a coat for wet or cold weather.
