Welcome to Term 1

I hope you have all had a wonderful Summer Holiday and are ready to start your Year 3 journey as a Kingfisher!

This term we will be exploring our History enquiry, 'Would you prefer to live in the Stone Age, Bronze Age or Iron Age?'. The children will have the opportunity to create timelines and look at the changes that occurred before making up their own minds to answer the question.

In Reading, our class text is: 'The Stolen Spear' by Saviour Pirotta. An exciting story based in the Stone Age. 'Weakness of any kind is frowned upon. Only bravery is admired. I pray to the spirits every day to make me brave'. Will he succeed? 

PE will be every Monday afternoon. Please make sure you have a PE kit in school to change into. 

Kingfisher will take part in Forest School during the second half of the Term (starting Week 4). Please remember your Forest School kit and appropriate footwear. A reminder of this will be sent out the week before the class is due to start Forest School.
