English Resources - Phonics, Reading and Spelling
Whilst at home, some work on Phonics and Reading will really help the children retain what has been taught in school. Below are some projects and ideas that will help to do this.
Reading
This project is aimed at Year 5 and 6 children but is open to anyone, it is closed to communication and the children will not have their work marked, however, it will enable anyone to have access to a good story and an audiobook to support it. Just click on the links below to access the resources.
Accelerated Reader
Children can continue reading books and taking quizzes by following the link below, this link must be followed as it is specific to our school.
Online Books
Storytime books this website has access to books read aloud by authors and illustrators.
MyOn a library of online books which link to Accelerated reader allowing children to take quizzes as normal (use AR log in to access).
Phonics

Spelling
As a school we are now signed up to Spelling Shed. This aims to make spelling fun for children. Simply log in and the spellings will be set for the children.
