Welcome to Term 5
This term our enquiry is History, and we will be answering the question,'What is a monarch?' We will be learning that a monarch is a king or queen and will be finding out about how William the Conqueror became the king of England. We will also be making comparisons between Motte-and-Bailey castles and stone-keep castles.
Our English sessions will be linked to the following books:
If I Were King by Chelsea O’Byrne, The King’s Pants by Nicholas Allan, The Castle the King built by Rebecca Colby and The Battle of Hastings by Claudia Martin.
PE will be outside on Wednesday afternoons, so please have an appropriate, named PE kit and trainers in school.
Forest School will be Tuesday afternoon-April 22nd, April 29th and May 6th. Please bring your Forest School kit and appropriate footwear to school in the morning, ready to change into at lunchtime.
Home learning will include reading each day and phonics/reading/spelling games on
Twinkl Phonics for the Web alongside maths practise on TT Rockstars.
